TEN months.

my little baby boy turned ten months old last sunday, november 8th. that is SO hard to believe. he is getting so big! he has been so much fun these days....here is what he is doing now, in list form.

01. he waves at us all the time...he can wave hello and goodbye (when he feels like it). a lot of times he waves at me when he wakes up.
02. he loves to clap! he will clap when we ask him to, and will clap spontaneously throughout the day. it's funny...we've noticed that he will start clapping whenever he hears someone say "yay"...just out of the blue.
03. he shakes his head "no" a lot...especially when he is headed towards something that he knows is off-limits. it is so cute, i have such a hard time staying stern and telling him no when he looks at me with those big brown eyes, solemnly shaking his head back and forth. he is getting better about obeying us when we say no though. it seems so strange that we have entered into this new phase...having to tell him no!!
04. he can climb the stairs with ease....but can't go down them.
05. he cries when we take something away. we can't just easily grab things from him like we used to be able to do.
06. he is a crawling maniac! he can crawl so fast...he often lifts one leg up higher when he crawls. it is pretty funny to watch.
07. he loves to play piano with daddy. whenver tyler sits down at the piano, cruz is on the move towards the piano so that he can pull himself up and start pounding the keys. he dances a little bit too. so cute.
08. he will eat about anything. whether it be bugs, leaves, lint, or food.
09. i have to cut him off sometimes at lunch or dinner...he loves to eat!
10. he makes the cutest little chewbacca noise. i can't do it or really describe it. if you know star wars then think of chewbacca. that's what he sounds like.
11. he loves jumping in his johnny jump-up these days. he jumps in it in the mornings while i get ready. i peek at him from the shower and always get the biggest grins.
12. tyler put some locks on the cupboards the other day, which is awesome, because little baby cruz thinks that he can play with everything in those cupboards. he has his own special cupboard that he plays in about everyday.
13. he has been going to bed around 8pm every night, and wakes up between 6 and 7am. i am thankful that he is sleeping through the night, but am wishing that he would sleep a bit longer! he wakes up at the same time no matter what time he goes to bed, so we think 8pm is a good time. plus, we like having some time alone at the end of the day. :)

i don't like to think about the fact that he is going to be 1 in less than two months. but, i know that each stage is going to be so much fun. i am loving all the new things that he is doing and get so excited whenever he does something new...so these next few years are going to be a blast i'm sure.
