our little christmas.

here i am, still posting christmas pics...in february. sheesh.

we had our little family christmas on christmas eve morning, since we were headed to mccook after our christmas eve service that evening. we had such a fun little morning, just the three of us. cruz was so excited about everything...it is truly the best to watch your kid's excitement. i love it. tyler and i didn't go too crazy with gifts for cruz this year...we figured he would be getting plenty, especially with his birthday coming up right after christmas. and he doesn't know, right? :) we just got him the basics...you know...flashlights, blocks, and a bow and arrow. he told us his favorite gift was the flashlights (that we paid a whopping $10 for). ha. love this kid.

oh christmas tree.

here i go again. posting christmas pictures over a month later. i can't just skip over them though...have.to.post.

since we were home for thanksgiving weekend, we decided to have a little family night the friday after thanksgiving and get our tree! we had such a fun night. we went to lowe's and picked out our tree first. it was sprinkling and i don't think tyler was even wearing a coat. crazy weather. then we went to red robin for dinner. cruz loves red robin for some reason and always talks about it when we pass by it, so he was excited to eat there. after dinner we came home and put up the tree while listening to christmas music. cruz got a new ornament...it was an easy pick this year. buzz and woody. :)
