our weekend.

we had a good weekend.  it wasn't near as crazy as last weekend.  i enjoyed my day off on friday by meeting tyler for lunch and going to a kids consignment sale with kimbra.  i unfortunately didn't get to stay long though, because cruz decided to start screaming.  that was the first time i got embarrassed in public because of him crying.  i actually got a little upset though, because i felt as though people were looking at me like i had hurt him or something.  who knows...maybe they weren't thinking that, but that's what i imagined going through their heads based on some of the looks i got.  oh well.  we decided to leave and go nurse in the car.  i found a few items of clothing for cruz at the sale, but i was little disappointed in the sale overall.  the prices seemed a little high.  i am a cheapskate though...i expect the prices to be pretty low at sales like that.

yesterday tyler had to work half a day, and then he helped out a friend with his basement for a little while.  we went to supper with some friends and then watched role models with jared and katie.   and then to cap off the good day, cruz slept 9 hours straight for us.  awesome.

today we went to coram deo and i was reminded of how Jesus is the only one who will never ever let us down.  He is the one we need to go to with our struggles and lament.  i often look to other people to help me through things and forget about going to Jesus.  He is the one who knows me best and can help me through every little thing.

after church we went to the mattress factory for lunch with brian and kimbra (tyler's work partner)...and then we all met up with dan and jess at the home show.  i had never been to one before, so it was interesting to walk around and see all the displays.  i was more interested in the contractions that jess was having though. :)  i can't wait to meet their little baby!

I remember one time when Brianna was an infant and L, B, & I were grocery shopping...it was one of those times, like yours, when B just decided to cry. Luke began yelling, "We're not bad guys!" at the top of his lungs to everyone. So you're not the only one who feels that way. :) We all just react differently. Ha!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts from church. That was such an encouragement to me today.

Love, Cristy
