| She didn't seem to like her car seat very much! |
We were welcomed home by Cruz and "MaMa Jackson". They had put up an
"It's a Girl" sign and some balloons. So fun! Our magnolia by the
front door was blooming, too. I guess it started blooming on the 15th,
the day Eva was born. I'll remember that every year now when it
blooms. :)
Cruz was so excited to welcome his baby sister home! He wanted to hold her right away.
We had a few
visitors that afternoon. Tyler's Mom made us an awesome dinner that
night. She stayed with us for a few days and was a huge help!! I am so
thankful for everything she did. She helped out a ton with Cruz,
cooked for us, did laundry, and even cleaned my dirty bathroom. :) And she got some nice bonding time with Eva...her third granddaughter.
Eva...two days old...at home.
The first night we got home...staring at the newest member (and daddy's phone:))
Tyler's birthday was on Sunday, March 18th. We went out to eat with some friends after church, and then he got to go play golf with his buddies. His Mom and I made him dinner that evening, and we were joined by my parents and Nick and Alissa. I love this pic of him and his two kiddos. Happy Birthday to my best friend...how did I get so lucky?!

Cruz loves to entertain Eva...he quickly decided that he would be the "pacifier helper". I quickly found out that I needed to monitor them very closely...although he is very sweet and gives her lots of hugs, little three year old boys don't have a very good memory. He is aware of her one minute, and then the next minute he's off and running around like Buzz Lightyear, arms and legs flailing around like crazy.
March 19th...just four days old. Tyler and I took her to the Dr. that day and had her jaundice checked. She was doing good! And her weight was already back to 8 lbs 13 oz. She was 8 lbs 9 oz when we left the hospital.

Checking out our baby toys...
Eva's first bath at home! Cruz was so excited to help...and asked a million questions. But that's nothing new. :)
Cruz playing with his new sticky golf game from Grandma Barb. :) He sure has gotten a lot of presents from people! I think it's so sweet and thoughtful of people...he's not getting left out at all.
6 days old...gotta love the "smiles".
Three year olds like boppies, too.
Mom and Eva (6 days old) Mom brought us a yummy dinner this night. Thanks, Mom!
Our baby girl...1 week old. Mom came over and picked up Cruz on this day so Eva and I could have
some quiet time at home together. We both enjoyed our days...Mom had a
special time with Cruz, and I had a nice quiet day with Eva. :)
