cruz update.

this little guy is growing up way too fast. i have really noticed it the past couple of weeks...he seems taller to me. and bigger. and older. i'm not sure what i think about this.

i think it's time for an update on what's been going on in cruz's world.

  • he LOVES puzzles. i had bought the one above and stashed it away for the perfect moment...i brought it out the other day and he seriously put it together like ten times in a row. he was so proud. (i told him to smile so that i could see his teeth...haha:).
  • he is now wearing big boy underwear! and he is doing an awesome job at going potty. i am so proud of him. i don't know why i was so scared about this whole process. he has seriously done so well! we're not totally there yet...but he is doing great!
  • he loves blowing kisses at bedtime and telling me where to put them...on my cheek, on my nose, on my eye. :)
  • he plays with his trains everyday.
  • he loves running from the "policeman" with his buddies, joe and noah.
  • he talks nonstop. seriously.
  • he talks about his grandmas and loves visiting both of them...grandma jackson and grandma titus (we tell them apart by their dog's names).
  • he sang the abc's all the way through for the first time tonight! i was so proud. we have been working on it. usually he just sings "a b c d e f g, now i know my abc's...".
  • he wants to do everything on his own!
  • he went #2 on the potty by himself the other day. i heard him yelling at me from upstairs "mommy! come yook! it's a big one!"
  • reading books and snuggling is one of mommy's favorite things to do with cruz.
  • he has recently become infatuated with veggie tales, especially the "God is bigger than the boogie man" show. he asks us to sing that song all the time.
  • he told me "i love you more" after watching tangled today. i had to see it. :)
  • he loves cuddling with both tyler and i...he opens his arms up wide and says "this is my family" all the time. it is seriously so adorable. (tyler and i keep saying we're going to have to remember these moments when he's a teenager).
we love our little boy so much and can't imagine life without him.
