where have we been?

i know...i haven't posted christmas pictures yet! or cruz's birthday pics...i'm way behind. all of those pictures are on our new camera, and i'm waiting for a chance to sit down with tyler and have him show me how to work with them. :) in the meantime, here are a few odds and ends since my last picture post. taken with my little sony. we've been wrestling with sickness again lately, and my cold is just hanging on forever. i really hope it's almost over. my poor boys are ready to have their fully functioning wife and mommy back.

one week after christmas cruz had a very hard time falling asleep at naptime. he'd cry (which is very unusual for him at naptime) and fall asleep standing up! i had to get this picture...he was sleeping like this. he also learned how to climb out of his crib that week. tyler and i woke up with a start at 3am one morning to the sound of a door click. then pretty soon we heard "hi mommy!", as cruz walked in the room. what??? totally scary...he could get up and get into all sorts of trouble! the next morning tyler put a lock on the door (for his safety), but thankfully cruz has learned how to stay in his crib until we get him. i knew the day was coming when he'd climb out, but i wasn't quite ready for a toddler bed!

haha. part of cruz's birthday present from grandma and grandpa warrick. tyler decided to play in it, too.
