what's been happening

wow. it's been a long time since i've posted. we've been dealing with a lot of sickness...including a nasty ear infection for cruz. it's been a tough month. i've cleaned up many puke spots and have gone to cvs/walgreens many times, once at 4:30 in the morning. my poor boys have been through a lot in the past month. i'm hoping that we'll stay well for awhile now. i hate seeing cruz sick, it makes me so sad...and it's no fun when tyler's sick either! it just plain stinks being under the weather this time of year. there are too many fun things going on.

i have also been super busy at work. i suppose that's what i get for working a retail job, the holidays are bound to be busy. i love that my days go fast, but don't like the extra hours and the energy the super busy days drain out of me. i want to make the most of this holiday season and not be preoccupied with work.

we have been having some fun lately, despite the above. we went to mccook for several days over thanksgiving which was super fun, even though a lot of the family ended up getting sick. we still managed to get some good family time in and tyler got a lot of pheasant hunting in. he absolutely loves going pheasant hunting. i actually hardly see him when we go back to mccook this time of year because all he wants to do is hunt. :) that's the only time he gets to do it though, so i understand. the rest of us play with babies and hang out. good times are had by everyone. then we had a lovely thanksgiving with my family on sunday, as that was the day that everyone could be there! i was so glad that it worked out to be with both families this year. i love flexible holidays. :) i hope to put some pics up soon of both of our thanksgivings....

the day after we got home from mccook we got our tree. we were too excited to wait. cruz wasn't quite sure what to think of daddy bringing a tree in the house, but now he can't stop talking about the lights....and the choo-choo daddy bought. i'm not sure who was more excited about the train...daddy or cruz?

Carrie, thanks for your comments (on my blog, and also in your recent email) ... I love reading your blog, too! And so glad you had time to put up another post ... you are a busy mom. Loved seeing the photos of putting up your tree, and what fun Cruz is having this year with everything, including the new train!
