we've been having so much fun lately. he is learning new words all the time. he just picks up words from our conversations and starts saying them on his own - and we LOVE hearing him say these new words. it is just so cute to hear his sweet little voice learning how to pronounce words. even with all the new words he says, one of my favorite things he says is "bye-bye daddy". he says it in a higher pitch and it is just darling.
things i'm loving right now about our little boy:
::his favorite bedtime song is "old macdonald"...as soon as we sit down in the rocker he starts saying "ya-yo" (for e,i,e,i,o). he will fill in with animal noises when he feels the need, also.
::speaking of bedtime, it has to be my favorite moment of the day. we read books, sing songs, and rock. he gives me big hugs and big smooches, and he lets me rock him as long as i want. i rocked him to sleep the other night and just loved it. he lays his head on my shoulder and says "rock"...so sweet. love that boy.
::he loves making animal sounds. he can make the sounds for cow, cat, sheep, monkey, bear, dog, and duck...the bear "roar" is definitely his favorite.
::his new passion is coloring - he wants to color all the time. i have his coloring books and colors up at the table, and he is always climbing up in his seat to color.
::he loves to wave bye-bye to daddy in the mornings from the couch by the front window.
::i love how he says goodbye to everyone and everything. it doesn't matter if it's a person, a building, a plane, train, or animal. he always has to say goodbye.
::we have this fun game we play in the car...we make silly faces in the mirror. he cracks me up with the faces he makes.
::he has an ear for planes. he always hears them way before i do and starts yelling at the sky.

Carrie, I loved reading this! Your bedtime moments sound so sweet. Cruz is such a cuddler. :-) Cherish the moments ... and such a good idea for you to record these thoughts.
This is so sweet! I completely relate to your feelings of a child stealing your heart. What a precious post. Love, Cristy
