a big week for cruz.

Cruz has had a big week. He has learned how to do several new things...all since last Wednesday! Here's the new skills:

- He can crawl/scoot anywhere he wants now! He is always going for the piano cord, the CD player, the plant (I just moved it b/c it was causing problems), and the magazine basket. He's so cute...you can see it in his eyes when he sees something that he wants...he makes a beeline for it.
- He can now sit up on his own from a laying down position. Tyler and I both saw him do this the other day...he was so proud of himself! We started clapping and cheering him on!
- He can now pull himself up to a standing position by holding onto one of his toys (the one from you, Amy!). It's a little scary when he pulls himself up because he is so wobbly, but it's cute. :)
- He seems to have gotten the drinking thing down with his sippy cup. Up until now he hasn't quite figured out how to suck very well...he just chewed on it. He would drink from one when I took the stoppers out...but I can't do that all the time because he would get thoroughly soaked.

He is growing up so fast! I see little bitty babies and I think "where has the time gone"...it seems as though Cruz should still be that little. I am loving all the new things he is doing now though. It is so much fun! He is reaching for me now, which I love seeing. And he gives me love all the time. A lot of times when I pick him up he will lay his head on my shoulder for a little bit and just rest. I love those moments.

Carrie, it's so good for you to record all these things ... you will love to have it to look back on! And I had so much fun on Wednesday watching him with some of his new accomplishments!
Love you,
Mom
