Well, we started feeding Cruz solids last week! These are from the first night...he was eating carrots. So far he's had carrots, green beans, and sweet potatoes. He didn't seem to like the green beans much. I think his favorite so far are the sweet potatoes! He gobbled them up last night!! He still isn't quite sure what to do with his tongue...a lot of the food ends up on him, the bumbo, and me. He flails his arms a lot and knocks the food right out of the spoon!
I thought it would be exciting to start feeding him solids, but I was actually quite sad. It just means he's growing up even more. He's not totally dependent on me now. I had a few tears that first night. It is exciting to cross each step though...each one is exciting. He is learning to do so much more now, he is a lot of fun to play with. :)

Congratulations on eating solids, Cruz! Carrie, I understand how emotional it can be to watch your children growing up and entering new chapters of their lives. They grow up too fast! You're a great mom. Love, Cristy
Carrie, I love how you treasure everything about your baby ... I know how you feel. There is no way to describe adequately the joy of being a mom ... God is such an awesome creator. We are so blessed.
